Be sure to adjust the strap for you height. I seem to have an easier time getting the SUP onto the carrying hook before I go paddling rather than after (fatigue must play a part). The hook can swing around a bit which makes setting the board on it difficult at times. But, after you get the hang of it, the SUPhipster really helps with offsetting the bulk and heaviness of the board. I likely wouldn't be able to navigate all of the trails to the lake without it. I am petite and having something like this makes all the difference. It is also nice light and compact, so I don't have to fuss with a bunch of extra gear when I go out (like a dolly/trolley)
